|Simulated Moving Bed (SMB) chromatography is promising |
process which is continuous chromatography like True Moving
Bed(TMB) chromatography using counter-current flow.
|SMB process can provide some advantages such as high productivity, high efficiency |
and low energy consumption. Also, SMB chromatography can be applied to the
separation of binary mixture. With these favorable characteristics of SMB, it is
evaluated positively in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and fine chemical industries.
SMB research was investigated deeply in order to develop separation process in Korea.
Through this research, SMB process will be regarded as an important technology in
petrochemical and fine chemistry industries contributing to the production of high
value added materials.
